How to sprout wheat grass

Sprouting wheat grass.

First you need to purchase some wheat seeds  also known as wheat berries. You can get them from any organic shop. I got mine from BMS for RM 11.00 for a pack of 1kg

Soak the berries in water for 2-3 hours. After that, drain the water and place it in a
cool and dark area. You may cover the seeds with a wet cloth or newspaper to keep it moist.
It takes about 2-3 days for the seeds to germinate so while waiting please remember to rinse the seeds
once a day .
After a few days, the seeds will start to grow roots and is ready to be transferred to a growing tray
Prepare a container or a sprout tray. I  just use a rectangular plastic lunch box (make sure the container or tray has holes at the bottom for drainage), Fill tray with soil or compost

Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil and water it.
After a few days, you will be able to see young sprouts beginning to grow. Continue to water once a day

When the wheat grass grows to about 6 - 7 inches,(or reaches a jointing stage) it is ready to be harvest .
