Penang

I can't remember when was the last time we went to Penang but it was probably 6 or 7 years ago. So it was nice to  bring the family for a visit again. This time we entered Penang via the new bridge  which was really long (24km)  and best of all no traffic!

Sultah Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge

Our apartment - Luxfort Apartment Suite. Next  to Island Plaza, Tanjung Bungah.

Kek Lok Si Temple - The temple sits majestically at the hills of Ayer Itam.  One of the 'must see' places
   when visiting Penang.

The bronze 'Kuan Yin' Goddess Of Mercy Statue. It stands 30.2 m
Mum and Rachel. In the background is The main pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas

For RM1.00, you can write your wishes on a wishing ribbon and place it on the tree

Dhammikarama Burmese Temple on Temple Street

And across the road from the Burmese temple is the Thai Buddhist temple. Not to confuse the two the Thai Buddhist temple houses a 180 foot gold plated statue of the  reclining Buddha.

Penang 3D gallery. This is 3 dimensional mural art gallery at Behn Meyer Building, Weld Quay in George Town. An interesting and fun place to have your photos taken.
